If you still can not win, seek out the stunt tokens and win yourself a Concept Car, I have found these to be the best so far of all the cars that I have been able to get back.
Keep an eye out for short cuts and find places to cut a few seconds off your time, it can be the difference between 1st and last.
Make sure you go to your race prepared, get nitro packs around town. The are mostly found off the streets, in the back alleys and in parking lots. Also the L.A. RUSH Freeway system is packed with em!
If you do get behind, don't get discouraged, hang in the race, you can come back and still place, which is good enough to advance in most cases.
Race #1 is easy enough, it is in your home town of Beverly Hills and you race around the block, jumping and speeding down the back roads of B.H. Just watch out for the cops, they are always watching out for street racers.
Once you win a few races in Beverly Hills you can move on to Hollywood and drive everyone crazy over there for a while.
When you place in a normal street race check your map for the "stars", these are special races that will give you a chance to get details on your cars so you can get them back.
Be ready though, these races can be very tough, the more money it is to enter the tougher the competition.
Make sure you have visited West Coast Customs and have gotten your car pumped up!
