The case the state is trying to prove is as follows: In the State of California vs. Scott Peterson, the accused is on trial for the double murder of his wife, Laci Peterson, and their unborn son, Connor. It is not disputed that Laci Peterson left her sister's hair salon with her husband Scott Peterson on Dec 23, 2002, and that is the last time anyone saw Laci alive. It is also not in dispute that the remains of Laci Peterson and Connor were found in the San Francisco Bay, about a mile from where Scott in April 14, 2003. Scott said he was fishing on the day Laci was reported missing, Dec 24th, 2002. What the state will prove with the evidence found during the investigation, proves beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Scott Peterson, on or about the 23rd of December, killed Laci Peterson and disposed of the body in the San Francisco Bay, 90 miles from his home.
