Scott Peterson, a fertilizer salesman, meets Shawn Sibley at a fertilizer convention at Disneyland and tells her he is desperate to meet an intelligent woman for a Long-term Relationship Shawn agrees to set Scott up with her best friend Amber. |
I feel from this we can draw one of a few conclusions, which by themselves, does not prove much, however, when looked at with the total scope of goings on of the defendant, and others close to him, we may be able to determine, at the least, someone who no longer wanted to be in the relationship that he was in and much like people do when wanting to change jobs, he was looking for a new mate first, as many do. Our other option is that he was "just looking for a sex partner", and is being a "cad", while his wife was in the last couple months of her pregnancy and that he never intended to carry on his relationship with whoever Shawn set him up with. We also have to assume, for this to be true, that Shawn is "Outside" his normal circle of friends, and therefore he can claim to be single and not be "found out". But we know, only weeks later, Shawn finds out Scott "is married" through a coworker that had interviewed for a job previously. I do question how this subject arose between the two friends, and also question when the conversation took place. So when Shawn found out about Scott being married, why would the "best friend" call the "cheater" before calling the "best friend"? Why "tip" him off? If all the above is false, then could it be possible that Scott and Shawn knew each other prior to the "first" meeting, and could the story that they first met at the Disneyland convention also be false? If they had met prior to the Disneyland convention, why lie? (Besides the fact we now know Scott lies about nearly everything, even to his mother.) Both Shawn and Scott sell fertilizer.. can we assume that they both have the ability to "stretch the truth"? After all, "A man is known by the company he keeps." |
| Nov 6 | Laci calls the doctors office and complains about
dizziness while walking. Doctor recommends Laci to stop walking
or walk later in the day.
|
Other reports also indicate Laci began getting "very tired" in early November. Is there something we are missing, or is this "normal" in the third trimester of pregnancy? |
| Nov 8 | Laci calls the doctor office and complains
of shortness of breath and
swollen ankles while walking. |
I tend to wonder if there were days that Laci felt better than others, and is there any connection to when Scott is around? |
| Early Nov | Shawn Sibley tells Amber about Scott. |
Why did Shawn wait so long to tell Amber about Scott, and what would have happened if Scott called Amber prior to this date? |
| Nov 19 | Scott calls Amber and leaves a message asking her for a date. |
A short message was left this evening, however, I have to assume at some point Amber and Scott spoke on this evening or on the next day, because within 24 hours of leaving this message he was meeting Amber for their first date. I know personally, before I went out on my last blind date, I not only spoke to the person several times on the phone before meeting, we exchanged pictures and "got to know"' each other before meeting. This does not appear to happen in this instance, and if it did, in the 24 hours or so they had between their first call and first date, they joking described themselves as fat and overweight, if that is true, and they do not know each other, and never saw each other, how then, did they know who each other was?? |
| Nov 19/20 |
|
Along with being curious to know when Amber and Scott spoke prior to the date they had on the very next evening. I also wonder, what Amber and Shawn arranged for that evening when she was going on a "blind-date". Did she know she was going to stay out all night, and if not, at what point, if any, did Amber call Shawn to let her know. We know Shawn called Amber the next morning because she had to go to work, but I still wonder about a call during the date, the evening before, say around midnight or so. |
| Nov 20/21 |
Amber Frey's blind date with Scott Peterson began at this Fresno, Calif., bar. Amber said that in the phone call before they met, Scott jokingly described himself as fat with long, greasy hair. She in turn said she was overweight and very tall.
After Scott and Amber went to dinner, they spent the night at the hotel where Scott gets a room on the top floor and orders champagne and strawberries. The next morning, Nov. 21st Amber leaves the hotel, Scott calls her twice. |
It has been reported that Scott and Amber spoke about how he was a "traveling salesman" and that he often had business out of the country. More specifically he told Amber that he would be gone from late December to Late January. From spending the holidays with his parents in Maine to, spending the New Years in Paris before going on to Brussels and coming back and going someplace else. We do find out that 5 weeks later, he is still carrying out this "fabrication" that some can argue was a "ruse" to get Amber to sleep with him quicker, however, I must ask the question, when does a "ruse" become a "lie" and when does that "lie" become a "plan"? And just to clear up the argument that this may have been a way to "escape" being held accountable for not seeing Amber for Christmas and or New Years, it lends no explanation for the other 24 days in January, and at the same time debunks the notation this was "all for sex", because once again, even if he needed to "stay cool" for the holidays, he would have been free the first week of January, and being the "HB" that he claims he is, would have no way of "holding out" another 3 weeks. It simply does not make any sense. |
| Nov 25 |
Laci visits her doctor and complains about swollen ankles. |
Again I must ask, how were her symptoms the previous weekend, and if they were "subsided", did they only return after Scott did from his "weekend away" with Amber? And if so, what could this mean? |
| Dec 2 |
Scott calls Amber at 1:45 pm and says he is near her home and would like to stop by. They spent the day with her daughter on a hike and picnic, then they stayed out "until they could find the first star". They returned to Amber's home, Scott spends the night. |
I am not sure if it is on this day, or another, but Scott, at some point purchased a telescope or other "star gazing" equipment and gave it to Amber as a gift, it was later turned over to Police. What if any significance does the devices that helps one see objects from far away have to do with the case, if anything? |
| Dec 3 |
Scott leaves Amber's home but returns later and agrees to pick up Amber's daughter at preschool. In the afternoon Scott, Amber and her daughter go shopping for a Christmas Tree and the salesman mistakes Scott as the father, Scott does not correct the salesman Scott spends the night at Amber's and tells her that he has never been married and in fact never been in a serious relationship. |
I know many have suggested Amber did something "wrong" by letting Scott pick up her daughter from School. However, when I look at things, even if we do not "agree" with it, we need to look further and ask "why". In my opinion, if it is true that these two meet for the first time 2 weeks prior, and have already been intimate, then it stands to reason that she trusted him enough to share a bed with him, then having him pick up her daughter is not all that "odd". Or this could show that Amber and Scott knew each other prior to these dates, or are completely lying about the enter event. I guess I find it odd that Scott and Amber spoke of Scott being married again, just 3 days before he is about to be found out, only because this topic should have been long closed since the first date. |
| Dec 4 |
Scott goes with Amber to her office and helps her set up for work. |
Does Laci and his family assume "he is away on business" all this time? And what about his employee, and the distributor think Scott is doing during these days? |
| Dec 5 |
Scott calls Amber who is going to an art opening and tells her that he is sure she will look very attractive. |
I assume Scott does have to check in to work sometime, and most days that I see he normally worked were later in the week. |
| Dec 6 |
Scott is called by Shawn and confronted about being married after speaking with a co-worker that said she had been interviewed by Scott for a Job It was reported that Scott told Shawn that he "lost" his wife and pleaded with her let him tell Amber. Shawn told him she would give him 3 days to tell Amber about his wife |
Shawn apparently was told by a coworker that Scott was married, the coworker had interviewed for a job with Scott, however, did not work for him. My biggest question is why would Shawn call Scott and not her "best friend", this still does not make sense to me. Why does Scott want to "tell Amber in person"? Normally it is much easier to lie over the phone than in person. What could be Scott's motive for going to see her? Could it be that he feels he will be believed more, in person, or does he want to be their to "see her face" and read her reactions better? Or is there some other reason? |
| Dec 7 |
Scott answers a newspaper ad for a $1,500 fishing boat. |
Was this the first time Scott considered "buying a boat", and if not, what other types of boats did he "look at"? If it was the first time, why now? |
| Dec 8 |
After seeing the boat Scott agrees to purchase the boat for $1,400.00. Later that day he he researches the chart of currents of the San Francisco Bay on the internet. Later in a January telephone call Scott tells Amber that he was fishing on the SF Bay with a couple of his "friends" on the Dec 8. In the taped call she recounts this statement to him, and he agrees, that he told her that when he called her. |
I tend to question where Scott got the $1,400 cash as well as did the seller get any other calls on the boat, and if so, why did the sale not go through. I also wonder how long the ad had been running as well as did the seller have any large withdrawals or deposits to his account, or did he make any large purchases? |
| Dec 9 |
Scott buys a used boat for $1,400.00 cash , which the seller insisted on. That same day Scott goes to visit Amber to tell her about how he "lost" his wife in person and that this will be "his first holidays" with out her. Scott was "given 3 days" from Shawn to tell Amber about his wife, before she did. Meanwhile, in Modesto, Laci is pawning jewelry for $140.00 |
Scott fails to mention at this point or any other to Amber that he JUST bought a Boat with and this goes directly to show that he is planning "something" and does not want to let anyone know about the boat. Sure, maybe at some point he could argue the boat was for a Christmas Gift, however, being he used it the day before Christmas, by his own admission, we can no longer think this boat was for anyone else. While Scott did claim "Laci knew about the boat", no one else in his family was told, either by him, or by Laci. Is there any proof that this is the first time he has been "boat shopping" and this purchase appears to me to be made for a single use. I am confused on how Scott could spend $1,400.00 while Laci is pawing jewelry for $140.00. |
| Dec 10 |
Peterson stored his fishing boat in this warehouse, which he used for his job as a fertilizer salesman. After Laci Peterson disappeared, police searched the building and found a black hair on pliers in the bottom of the boat. The FBI linked the hair to the missing woman.
|
Scott has in his warehouse this used boat, that according to friends and family, they did not know he been purchased even up to until and including Dec 24th. or 25th, Scott "claims", to police, that his wife knew about the boat. However, the fact that in with in 7 days of the cash purchase of the boat, Laci and Scott pawned a total of $350.00 worth of "jewelry". He also went as far as to tell Amber that he was Sailing on the Bay, the day he was looking at the boat, "with friends". He also fails to mention that he was "fishing" to his father on Dec 24th, when he speaks with him just after 2:00 pm., which was shortly after Scott is presumed to have left the Bay based on cell phone towers. |
| Dec 11 |
Scott returns to Amber's and they get Scott fitted for a Tuxedo for a upcoming party with her on the 14th. After the tux fitting Scott attended a party with Amber and her daughter for Shawn Sibley's fiancée. |
Scott knew on this day that he was supposed to attend a party with Laci, which she later attends alone because he tells her that his boss flew into town and he needed to see him. |
| Dec 12 | Scott goes to Amber's office and helps Amber set up and then gets a half hour massage before they leave and go to lunch at Whole Foods. | Scott is obviously not able to go home during these "leaves" from his home which explains why he "hangs around" |
| Dec 13 |
Laci picked up a Diamond watch that was repaired at a local jewelry store. Shawn Sibley told Amber that she forced Scott to tell her about his wife. |
Not sure if Scott is still "on away for business" or not, but Scott does arrive in Modesto the following day to go with Laci to the pawn shop, yet does not attend her party, rather goes back to Amber's. |
|
Dec 14 |
Laci and Scott pawn more jewelry totaling $110.00. The store clerk says Laci acts "hesitant" when Scott rubs her belly in the store. Laci attends a family Christmas party alone while Scott Peterson went with Amber to her Formal and spends the night after the party. Scott tells Amber "Did not want Biological children" and that her daughter, Ayiana is enough for him and is considering a vasectomy. |
Why are they selling the "jewelry" and why does she act "hesitant" to Scott touches her belly? Scott told Laci that his "Boss" flew into town unexpectedly and he needed to see him. Laci complained to friends and family at the party that she was often "tired" and had to take naps. Scott telling Amber that he did not want more children, while not entirely odd, does kind of contradict his statements of "wanting a long term relationship" as the fact of being in his late 20's and not having any children of his own, it would stand to reason that he would want a "long term relationship" to become married, and eventually have children. Now, another theory is that he knows this will be the last weekend for at least 6 weeks and he is trying to "give Amber reasons" to have second thoughts about "this perfect guy". The host at the party, in an interview, also reported that after being introduced to Scott, that Scott approached him about 20 minutes later and gave him one of Amber business cards and introduced himself again. The host found this odd because Scott did not remember what had happened 20 minutes prior. I have seen this happen in a few other instances and have come to the conclusion that due to the fact he is lying so much, he does not have time to pay attention to "the truth" and the "things around him" and over all "what is going on", he only has one focus, his "lie", or what I would call at this point, a "plan". I also question why Scott made this appearance as it was. being married and "cheating", one tends not to show up in public places near there home and would not likely attend parties due to the fact they might run in to someone they know and this would blow their cover. |
| Dec 15 |
Around noon Scott leaves Amber's and tells her that he has business trips in Arizona and Mexico. Scott arrives back home where he was supposed to have baked Lasagna for his his wife and her family for dinner, but arrived too late. This is the last day Sharon Rocha sees her daughter Laci alive. |
Did Scott mean to come home late this day, and if so why?
|
| Dec 17-19 | Scott spends the weekend with Laci and his parents in Carmel. | On this "weekend getaway" it would be interesting to know how Laci was doing, and if Scott bought anything for his wife or did anything that would indicate that he wasn't expecting her to go "missing" in the next week. |
| Dec 19 | Scott calls Amber and says he is on a business trip. | Scott has the "I am on a business trip" line down I am sure, seeing as he feeds that line to both his family and the mistress, or to anyone that wants to hold him accountable for the coming days. |
| Dec 20 |
Scott buys a rod and reel along with some fishing gear at a local store. He also purchases an Ocean fishing license. Laci attends a one-on-one prenatal yogi session. According to the instructor Laci was so tired she had trouble walking to the car. Laci Peterson took classes at the Village Yoga Studio after she became pregnant. Her sister, who worked in a salon near the studio, said yoga helped her relax.
|
If Scott was a "avid fisherman" why did he need a new rod and reel this particular weekend? And why did he not wait for Christmas, maybe he was getting one if he was talking about "things he does" with his family as most people do. Also, on this day he buys the pass for the 23rd and 24th? And if so then it is clear long before "his last minute change of plans" that he had every intention of going fishing and never golfing. Again we find Laci being "very tired" and we can see that she has been with Scott for the last 4 days, any connection? If not, and Laci just has "in general" been feeling bad since November, why did she go to Carmel? Would she not want to rest up? |
| Dec 22 | Scott calls Amber and tells her he is leaving from Sacramento Airport to visit his family for the holidays in Maine. | I feel this particular call was not only part of his plan from Nov. when he was telling her he would be out of town for the holidays, but I feel that if he bought the boat, and the fishing license with the forethought of "going fishing" I think he wanted to "plant a seed" for Amber that he was "out of town", so if she heard about a "missing Modesto woman" she would "know" it could not have been Scott because he was "out of town". |
| Dec 23 |
Laci shops for a Christmas Dinner that she will be hosting in the coming days. She goes to the Salon for a waxing and to the Doctors for a check up.
The maid comes to the home, cleaned it, and said she left some rags in the washer as well as a mop out the back door. In the afternoon Scott and Laci get Scott's hair cut at the Salon by Laci's sister Amy. This is the last time anyone sees her as she leaves to go home with her husband Scott. Before leaving Scott tells Amy that he will be golfing the next day and offers to pick up a holiday basket from the store near the golf course, he never does. Scott and Laci eat Pizza for dinner At about 8:30 pm Laci speaks with her mom. Her mom asked "is everything okay?" Laci replies "Yes, just tired" - this is the last time anyone besides Scott speaks with Laci. At some point, yet undetermined by myself, Scott called and gave Amber a P.O. Box address for her to mail to him anything for when he is out of the country. He also told Amber that he was Duck hunting in Maine with his father. |
Is it possible that Scott used his "monthly hair cut" as a focal point to establish certain things, like his alibi to his sister, for golfing (which he really should of made his TEE time, and he may have gotten away with this.) as well as a way to change his appearance from photos he took with Amber, so if she did see him on TV, she may not recognize him or put 2 and 2 together, because again, as far as she knows, he is out of town. Laci was reported to be wearing "cream color" pants when she left the Salon, according to her sister. Her remains were found in "tan" pants, Scott said his wife was wearing "black" pants when he left her on the morning of the 24th. What can we draw from this besides that the pants that her sister described were the same pants, since they were not black, for sure. I am still looking for the time of the call that was reported to have been made from Scott to Amber on the 23rd from a pay phone in Sacramento. This is important because Sacramento is between Modesto and the Bay if you drive North on 99 or 5 then take the 80 to the bay. It is also on the route home if he took a westerly route from his home to the bay, or somewhere up stream, then will be due North. It was reported that Amber became "suspicious of Scott" when he gave her the P.O. Box address, saying they would forward his mail to him in Europe, it was in the call mentioned above I think when he told her about the PO Box. |
Laci and Connor will always be in our hearts and prayers and can only pray that the truth comes out and Justice is served.
